The Field Needs One App, Not Four

A field app, a photo app, a time app, a safety app – four logins and four bills for one superintendent's day. SCPM Project provides one native, offline-capable app that runs the whole day and files everything where the office needs it.

Look at a superintendent's phone sometime. A field app for the daily log. CompanyCam for photos. A time-tracking app for the crew. A safety app for the toolbox talk. Maybe a PDF reader for the plans. Four or five icons, four or five logins, four or five monthly bills – published rates put Fieldwire alone at $39 to $89 per user per month, CompanyCam at $63 to $199 a month, safety and time apps on top – and the super's actual workflow is jumping between all of them while the job goes on around him.

SCPM Project provides one field app, and it's the whole day. The daily log with weather, crews, and work performed – typed, or spoken aloud on the drive home and structured by AI. Photos and video, tagged and pinned to the plans, feeding the same log. Time entry for the crew, cost-coded to the budget the moment it's captured. The current plan set, viewable and markable, always the latest revision because the office's upload superseded the old one automatically. Punch lists. RFIs. Safety meetings with tap-signature attendance, pre-task plans, incident intake. Approvals when the PM is the bottleneck. Even the service technician's work orders, with parts and materials pulled from the truck.

And all of it native – built for the phone, not a website squeezed onto one – with a real offline mode. Jobsites don't have conference-room Wi-Fi, so everything queues on the device and syncs when signal returns. The log written in the basement, the photos from the far end of the site, the timecard from the dead zone behind the tilt panels: none of it is lost, all of it lands.

Here's the operational point hiding under the convenience: when the field runs on one app, the field's data lands in one record. The photo is attached to the log it documents. The hours hit the cost code they belong to. The field change event the super flags becomes the draft change order the PM sees – same system, same minute. In the four-app version, each of those is an export, an email, a Friday-afternoon reconciliation, or missed altogether. In the one-app version, they simply exist, together, the moment they're captured.

Your superintendents didn't get into construction to manage software subscriptions. Give them one app that does the whole day, works with no signal, and files everything where the office actually needs it – and watch how much more of the day gets recorded.
