Reason Why #10: AI That Drafts While Your People Decide
SCPM Project has AI built into every layer, from the morning briefing to daily logs to receivables. It drafts, summarizes, and flags. A person always approves, and the AI never invents a number.

Most construction software vendors now say they have AI. Usually that means a chat window in the corner that waits for you to ask it something. That's not much help to a PM with forty open items or a controller at month-end.
The tenth reason contractors move to SCPM Project: AI is built into the daily work, to help your people stay in charge of it all.
Where the AI actually works
It starts in the morning. The executive dashboard opens with an AI briefing across the portfolio: what's behind, which jobs are at risk, what the margin picture looks like, and the next actions for each person. It's written from the same data the Health Score uses, so it points at real items, not generalities.
In the field, superintendents talk through the day and AI drafts the daily log for their review. In the office, AI helps draft RFIs and change-order narratives. In accounting, the WIP schedule, AR aging, and cash flow reports open with a plain-language summary of what the numbers mean. In safety, AI reads uploaded SDS sheets and can draft a toolbox talk. And at the end of the day, each person gets a short reminder about what slipped on their own work – the log that wasn't filed, the RFI past its answer-by timeframe – before a small miss turns into a liability.
New users get an AI onboarding coach that walks each role through setup on real data, and there's an assistant on every screen that can walk anyone through a task.
The rules that make it trustworthy
Two rules make this safe to use in a business that runs on accurate numbers.
First, AI drafts and a person approves. Nothing the AI writes is saved to the record until someone reviews it. The superintendent decides what goes in the daily log. The PM decides what goes in the RFI. And if the AI is unavailable, every workflow still works by hand.
Second, the AI never computes or invents a number. Every figure in an AI summary is computed by the SCPM accounting engine and traces to a posting. The AI explains the numbers; it doesn't make them up. That rule is printed right on the screen, under every summary.
What it gives back
The goal isn't to replace anyone. It's to take the paperwork off the people who should be managing work, so the PM spends the afternoon on the job instead of on the report about the job.
AI drafts. A human always approves.

Structure defeats chaos.
If margin is leaking through the gaps in your operation, a direct conversation is where it starts.
