Prove What You Asked, Approved, and Delivered

Disputes are won by the better record. RFIs prove what you asked, submittals what was approved, transmittals what was delivered – with SCPM Sign and tracked email in the same fabric. The record builds itself while the work happens.

Construction disputes are rarely won by the better argument. They're won by the better record. Two years after the job closes, nobody's memory matters – what matters is what you can produce: the question you asked, the answer you got, the approval you received, and the proof it was delivered.

SCPM Project builds that record as a byproduct of doing the work. RFIs prove what you asked – numbered, dated, tracked against their answer-by timeframes. Submittals prove what was approved – the full lifecycle, from submission through review to the stamped return. Transmittals prove what was delivered – the construction industry's certified-mail equivalent, numbered per project the way an architect expects, with a lifecycle that ends in the one state that settles arguments: acknowledgement by the other side.

Signatures live in the same fabric. SCPM Sign routes the contract, captures the ceremony, and files the executed document to the project with its certificate – no per-envelope vendor, no annual allowance to ration. And the correspondence that carries all of this is on the record too: tracked outbound email filed to the project, per-project inbound addresses, so the thread about the change order lives with the change order instead of in somebody's personal inbox.

Notice what this record costs you to build: nothing. No end-of-week filing session, no discovery-phase panic, no assistant reconstructing a paper trail from three inboxes. The record accumulates because the work happened inside the system – every document numbered, dated, and attached to the project it belongs to, searchable years later by the people who need it.

The phrase that dies in that environment is the most expensive sentence in construction: "we never received it." When the transmittal is numbered and acknowledged, when the email was tracked, when the approval carries a signature certificate – the conversation is short. Most disputes don't get litigated; they get settled by whoever produces the most accurate papers.

Structure defeats chaos.

If margin is leaking through the gaps in your operation, a direct conversation is where it starts.
